Investment apps & brokerages

A basic overview

When it comes to investing it is hard to start off and know where you are going. Sometimes brokerages aren't clear in their fees or structures. I have made a list (and will expand) of different brokerages, their pros and cons. Creating these reviews of the platforms will hopefully give you a more informed choice when picking a broker.

When it comes to brokerages you have two types, ones which charge a management fee and others which class themselves as fee 'free'. What normally happens when they class themselves fee 'free' is they have a wide spread, this is where they make their money instead if charging a flat management fee *to note most brokerages use a spread though more likely brokerages who charge managment fees have a lower spread.

What is spread?
